Cannot express enough how terrible of an experience this was for my mother and our family. Want to caution any and everyone away from this place. The check-in staff was rude and insensitive. Is mind blowing that a hospital for patients with cancer would knowingly create a place where over 20 patients waited 4+ hours in a waiting room only to then be shuttled to an emergency room room where they waited over 24 hours to even get access to a MRI. We are so grateful to have an urgent care unit that's focused on treating people with cancer. This is the second time we have had to come. Both times., our amazing medical team precoordinated our visit. We got in processed and seen right away. Because this is MD Anderson all the doctors are here. From his normal oncology team to specialists. We had the full run of doctors trying to figure out what was wrong. They got him in right away for scans, blood work, and everything. The nurses on floor E11 were amazing! My sister-in-law was in room 1107 & her nurses took such great care of her! She was very anxious because she had a trach and the nurses calmed her down and helped her feel comfortable as she was healing. When I stayed the night, they checked on me as well! I have never seen a more experienced, caring group of people! MDAnderson has hired some of the best!!!
