Very upset. My son has synovial sarcoma. It recurred in November 2024, after being dormant. He was finally scheduled for chemo yesterday at the main campus. A pic line was put in Tuesday in Houston, and the next day, we traveled there again for the chemo infusion. It did not happen. The office had failed to schedule a simple blood test, and they could not test his blood without orders, and then the blood draw was closed for the evening. Patient care Tech are paid low and do the most for peanuts. PCT has no voice or rights. Most of the nurses are lazy. The hospital doesn't have turn team which it will make the job a little bit easier. Think twice before you work there.
The check-in facility for urgent care is like a MASH unit tent. It’s 80 degrees, uncomfortable and hard to access. If you were expecting the best cancer care in the USA, this is not a good example of it.
