I’m sharing this because no family should have to beg for dignity at the end of life. If I could leave, no stars, I would. Our family had a deeply distressing experience during my mother-in-law’s final days at this hospital. The level of care fell far below acceptable standards. I had multiple allergic reactions to resulted in wheezing and hives, and they did not believe me even after I had testing done at an allergist with a confirmed positive reaction. I came into the ER for sudden chest pain and a heart rate of 155 and they told me it was anxiety, even though I had to be cardioverted earlier this year and had a cardiac ablation. The nurses still don’t believe my allergies and act like I’m faking it even though I got diagnosed by an allergist.
