I brought a 4-acre lot to Emerald Homes for building a spec home on and they did a great job with construction and included a lot of upgraded features: top level whirlpool appliances from Ferguson, dual zone Carrier HVAC from W. G. Speeks, Custom shelving/cabinetry in primary closet and generator hook up ready. Emerald cares about their product and will always do what's right.
Emerald Homes is fantastic to buy a home with. They will guide you through the entire buying process and have multiple representatives ready to answer questions from the time of your showing all the way to closing day & after. Their final walk throughs are very thorough and they address all questions the buyer has regarding updated technology. We love that the builder is a local business as well!
The WORST builder in this area. They built my house over 15 years ago and I'm still finding short cuts they took and shotty work that I have to continuevto fix. Examples -- nails in bathrooms, kitchen not galvanized so the moisture is popping out the sheetrock. Front porch posts stuck in ground and not cemented, so had to be removed because they were not stable. I could go on and on. Bottom line, if you see Emerald Homes is the builder, run in the opposite direction!
Emerald contracts out most or all of everything they do. 1 month after we moved in, our main shower upstairs started leaking into our ceiling and down through our walls. We needed to replace 1/4 of our ceiling on the living room and 1/4 of the wall and part of the wood floors. They paid for it but it was a nuisance for a couple of weeks while they repaired.
