While beautifully designed, there were too many flaws in the stay. The coffee stations were rarely working, the gym needed a vacuum, and the room despritely needed some fresh air. The smell changed as soon as you entered to a musky, musty scent. House keepers attempted to mask the odor with an infuser. We propped the door to the hallway open as much as possible to bring in fresh air as the window was cracked and didn’t open. I come to Charleston often and stay with my daughter. This time I brought some friends so we chose this hotel . From the beginning we were given the wrong room in which housekeeping let my friends into without a key while I went to get another key. The first night I needed another blanket and nooone answered the phone after three phone calls. Then upon arrival from a night out, around 11:30 pm my key wouldnt work and NOONE was around. WORST NIGHT AT A HOTEL EVER! I was initally very happy with the hotel, the room, and the location. However, after returning from an early dinner and a nice walk around the area we came back to the hotel to relax a little. Unbeknownst to us, a HUGE party was well underway in the courtyard and our room was right on top of it. I was able to take a brief nap but not for long. The music is currently pounding so loudly that things on the nightstand are rattling! The music is good, but not what I signed up for. I called guest servi... read more
