I just had to stop in and write a review for Embark in Independence MO. Last winter, my son needed residential treatment as it was no longer safe for him to be in home. After exploring various options, Embark was the only program that would take him, and only on a trial basis. As a family, we were hoping for a brief respite and then planned to bring him home and get back to it. Embark is an outstanding adolescent residential facility. The physical plant is rural, just outside of Independence, MO, and is nestled in the timber, away from the world’s distractions, and has a truly peaceful, calming environment throughout the entire campus. My son has made huge progress in his daily living skills. He has had life coaches with whom he can talk to at any time. He is learning how to deal with a complex addiction. His therapist,Casey Kapple, is the absolute best at what he does. Not just for our son but also in leading the parents group. I could not ask for better results
