We had a wonderful time on our canoe trip. Our guide was informative and knowledgable about the area and it's natural history. We are planning a trip back in a few years and hope to use Ely Outfitting Company again for a longer trip. Thank you so much!
We rented a canoe from Ely Outfitting Company for a week long trip in the BWCAW in July 2025. They made it so easy with lots of training on how to transport and portage the canoe. We had no problems what-so-ever which made our week enjoyable.

Their facility was clean and organized, and their systems for organizing gear and making sure you're ready to use it and navigate on your trip were so organized and clear. I would 100% recommend Ely Outfitting Company for your next Boundary Waters trip! Women in the Wilderness was such a great trip. It was the perfect amount of time and they made it easy with preparation with providing all the gear. Food was excellent! Theo was our guide and I would also 100% recommend her. She was incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable.
I've always wanted to go canoeing in the BWCA to see the pictographs, and Ely Outfitting Company made our trip unforgettable. We didnt have any experience canoeing and brought our dog with us, they told us everything we needed to know for a successful experience and were incredible friendly and helpful!
