Elwoods small engine repair is by far the best and cheapest small engine repair shop that i am aware of. Due to firing all of the low trash employees that were qorking there...now Elwood himself is doing repairs and he fixed my equpiment fast efficently and cheap. Cheaper than anyone else. Thanks to elwoosds small engine repair i am now back to work.
I too have done business with Elwood. Unfortunately I can't say anything good about my experience..I also know him personally and I must warn the public beware. Your best bet would be to use someone with a good reputation.
Even one star is to much. I bought a used mower from him . He was nice as can be at that time.told me he would even give me a 30 day warrenty. Mowed half my grass and the engine recoil froze up took.It back and he fixed it in two days started mowing my lawn again and sure enough froze again. Took it back and after 2 weeks with no call went over there mower was still not ready finally ready and would not start. I told him I no longer wanted the mower. Well.... Wish I would have known better too. Guess the lawn is going to grow for two months and yet you have no shame just taking, taking even from a veteran's widower. Against my better judgement, I took my lawnmower to get fixed at Elwood Engine Repair. To my dismay, he actually stole my motor. He ripped me off big time. Speaking of big time, i think he needs to spend some money on the weight watchers program and take control of his health. Overall this man is a thief and slob, and someone needs to put a stop to it. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.
I think the owner should take the money he Steals from people and buy some teeth. He has the same number of teeth has his IQ I believe the number is close to three. Don't give this guy your business
He quoted me $50-$75 per mower for 2 mowers. $75 would cover everything if need be. He called me when they were ready and said the total was $187.56 When i got there both mowers still we're not fully functional. And one of them that was self propelled he now says had to be a push mower. They were both electric start and he said he would fix that too and neither were done. All he did was get them both to start. I think he should have give me a call when thecan quote was exceeded especially if my motives were not going to work... read more
BEWARE of Elwood's Lawn Mower repair. He says he will have your mower in 3 days but it is more like 2 months. He says it will cost you about $50 to get it repaired but he will really charge you $150 to get your mower back. You have just been treated to an Elwood special and you will wish you hadn't taken your lawn mower to Mr. Elwood. Just behind the Eagle's Club on the corner of Lake Dr. and Clearlake, there is a lawn mower repair that will treat you fair.
