I am very pleased with Elmcroft of Deer Park. The team and caregivers have been very responsive to my dad’s needs. It is incredibly difficult to navigate the process of finding the right care for your loved one and they made it very easy for me. I had a bad experience elsewhere, I was literally lined up to move my Dad the next day after I signed the contract. When the contract was presented it was $1k more a month than discussed. Elmcrost of Deer Park has gone above and beyond for the care of my mother. We visited a few local communities, before going with Elmcroft of Deer Park. The rooms at Elmcroft felt more like personal apartments, with personal decor, compared to other buildings that felt more hotel like. I am leaving this review for the Elmcroft of Deer Park. I don't know why the reviews for Brokkdale are on this. I can tell you the people I have worked with are the best in the business. We were invited for a fabulous dinner and everyone in that building was great. I would highly recommend them. It was warm and homey and the staff goes out of their way to make everyons stay personable.

I am surprised to read the negative review below! My dad has lived at Brookdale Deer Park for almost 2 years now and they have become family! Sarah the sales lady was instrumental in making this transition easy on my dad and our family. The nurses and care givers have been friendly and my dad raves about how good the food is! He has 5-6 close friends now, which he never had before, and he has a much better quality of life! DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!! Also please IGNORE the response they gave me. As of 72 hrs later he is STILL in the psych ward and they are saying he won't get out until after Christmas. So at 92 years old, he gets to spend one of his last Christmases in a psych ward that BROOKDALE PUT HIM IN FOR NO REASON. This place is abusive, neglectful, and disrespectful.
