My wife and I got married at BlueBridge next door, and we rented out all of the cabins at Ellis Lake Resort for our immediate families and wedding party. In short, it was a dream. The Red Bud Lodge in the back is a beautiful modern cabin where my wife and I stayed, and also where we hosted the wedding after-party with lights strung in the trees and a late night dance party. My husband and I stayed at the Red Bud with another couple for a kid free weekend and had a wonderful stay. We are already planning our next trip back! The cabin was exceptionally clean. Plenty of clean towels and linens. This cabin was secluded at the back of the property with trails leading to the lake. The private hot tub was perfect to relax in after a day of fishing and exploring Traverse city. The owners are so nice and helpful. Ellis Lake Resort is a true hidden gem. We got married next door at Bluebridge Events Center, and rented out the entire resort for our bridal party. The cabins are a 5 minute trail walk from the venue, so it made for a wonderful “summer-camp” type experience. Each cabin is so unique, and has a beautiful charm. They are all outfitted with AC, full bathrooms, full kitchens, and comfortable beds/furniture. I cannot speak highly enough about Becky & Tee. Spent several days here on a recent adventure to the area. Great location! Tina was so helpful and lovely to chat with when we arrived. She gave us lots of tips on places to visit. The lakefront was a peaceful place to relax after busy days of wandering!
Loved our stay here this weekend! Cabins are clean, maintained, well located, and incredibly charming. We’ll be back!!!
