Male PA looked at my throat and nose in less then 10 seconds and said I have a cold despite sinus pain radiating into my teeth and ears. Didn’t even look at my ears. Prescribed me Sudafed despite having heart palpitations in the past. Didn’t look at my chart until after he suggested that prescription. Prescribed cough medicine despite not having a cough. Used clinical jargon the entire time and didn’t listen to me at all. Left in less than 10 minutes. Horrible experience.
This was our second time going in the last month. Both times, we barely waited. All of the staff were friendly and communicative. We knew how long we were waiting and why we were waiting. The PA we saw was fantastic with my daughter! The entire staff helped and trying to calm her down and explaining things to her. Bedford urgent care has been amazing and I thank them for all they did for my family.
I was seen by Elizabeth Laverty who repeatedly commented on my eye asymmetry, a condition well documented in my chart and being treated by a team of specialists and not the reason I was there. I over heard her instructing nursing staff to look at my eye as I left the room. My appearance had nothing to do with my visit and I was made to feel like a spectacle rather than a patient.
DO NOT GO TO THIS URGENT CARE. They will bill you like its a ER. My son and I were here for less then a hour, the dr did not have the best beside manner, demanded we get a chest xray for suspected pneumonia (she was unable to confirm listening to his lungs?) I declined, we left. Got the bills in the mail $1500! thank goodness we did not get the chest xray We ended up at a different urgent care, they gave my son antibiotics he needed and he got well right away. no chest xray entire bill was less then $200.
