First two years living there my apartment flooded every time it rained or the sprinklers were turned on. Their perpetual response was “we're getting a bid this week”. Ended up contacting the state of Oregon to get it fixed. Afterwards the mgmt. became adversarial towards me, saying that it was a personal attack against them and they were going to do the same towards me. Management will lie and put on a smile towards family members or state investigators, then inflict mental abuse and hostility towards residents. Assisted living here is definitely not recommended.
This facility has been run by different people since it was built. But the current management has made great efforts to correct any deficiencies they inherited. Great nutrition, attentive caregivers and any problems promptly corrected. Great staff and a huge commitment to the safety of the residents. This has kept Elliott Residence free of covid-19! Way to go!
July Update: NO COVID-19 at Elliott Residence! The management and staff here continue being incredibly proactive about protecting the residents. Still no visitors, and no end in sight for this. Therefore, the management and staff are making sure to engage each resident in more social aspects of life. The Activity Director goes down each wing holding small games of Bingo with the few (2 or 3) residents willing to sit in their doorways to play.
