I read all the advertisement and moved here myself 5 yrs ago. Yes, it is a beautiful town and looks like a great place to live. However, there are factors no one tells you about until you get here and find out for yourself that things aren't what they seem. Please Google uranium contamination in Elliot Lake. Yes, there are government studies, but do you believe everything the government tells you in a situation like this. The town or mining companies will not help with remediation. They will not fix my bathroom for 7 years now it leaks into basement and causes black mold. Been asking to fix windows for 15 years now they build up 2 inchs of ice during winter and every door leaks they refuse to fix
