We are here now at Elliot Emergency Room, we have been here since 1pm. They just took her to register her. These fing people are clueless. Bobby, my brother, went up and said hi, we came in here more than 4 hours ago with our 87 year old mother, who has had diarrhea for 4 days, she is talking gibberish, she doesn't feel well and they ran tests 3 hours ago. No. Don't go. Understaffed. Please Elliot-hire more staff. Health care in the US is just awful.
Absolutely horrible experience. Understaffed. Poorly staffed. Took 12 hours and most of the time I was confined to a chair in the waiting room. When finally admitted, I was given some kind of lounge chair. Very uncomfortable and too small for me. I was dehydrated and throwing up. I asked a nurse if I could have an actual bed (there were several not being used and it was late at night). She said no. I am extremely disappointed with the care we received at the Emergency Room at Elliot Hospital. My wife is 8 weeks pregnant and was experiencing heavy bleeding and severe pain. We waited more than four hours without being seen by a doctor. I spoke to the staff multiple times, but we felt ignored and not taken seriously despite explaining that she is pregnant and in significant pain. 5 Star review overall! Because of my awesome care team from last and all the doctors and dental surgeons were amazing. I had one terrible Nurse today who refused to do anything but talk gossip and crap about other employees in the hallway while the older man who can’t even communicate was forced sit in his own excrement for over two hours after being told thankfully she left early or was sent home.
