The staff members here are incredibly irresponsible, I scheduled a driving test and needed a sponsor cuz I didn't have a car, I paid 200$ for my road test and got my permit printed in less than a week and my social worker waited to take action days after it was too late to book the sponsor, I kept reminding her and she acted like I never said anything then she made it about me flipping out, I’m homeless and they won’t even refund my money even tho they created the atmosphere for all this to happen I’d say I definitely had a ... read more
If I could give zero stars- i would. Do not come here unless you want a lack of transparency and to be caused trauma. The system is broken and they contribute to it. I came for a crisis assessment, and was not experiencing suicidal ideation. I was attending therapy everyday, and was okay and safe. The eliot counselor doing the assessment told me that I did not need to go inpatient, but rather I could come in for therapy for 3 days. My father and I felt inpatient was unnecessary and I was doing okay- already in therapy which ... read more
Proposed Review – Eliot Community Human Services (Danvers, MA) My experience with the Eliot location in Danvers was deeply distressing and harmful. I felt mistreated, ignored, and unsafe while seeking help. During a crisis-related interaction, staff members escalated the situation instead of de-escalating it. A manager and a crisis worker made decisions that resulted in police and a SWAT-style response being sent to my home. I did not consent to any search, and the police ultimately found nothing. Don't bother. Went there for help and was advised they only take mass health. Told us to go to Beverly ER to get on mass health and then Eliot sectioned us and forced us to take an ambulance to ER. 8 hours later the Beverly ER sent us home. Waste of time
I was refused help after being told I would get it. No reason was given. I called to find out why. They said because I had my own therapist and prescriber they can't help. They never told me that's what I needed to be helped, and it's not right to disrupt someone's treatment with established therapists and prescribers. If they can only offer help under those circumstances they should be up front and not make people waste their time driving half an hour, being subjected to questions, just to turn around and say "we can't help... read more
