Went to urgent care bc of dry cough for 2+ months and NO other symptoms besides being sore from coughing. I get a chest x-ray (which is great), test for RSV, fluA and B and COVID and antibiotics thrown at me. I'm really tired of doctors just throwing around antibiotics left and right. Antibiotic resistance is a growing issue and as a physician it's your responsibly to be aware about changes like antibiotics resistance. I expressed my hesitancy towards antibiotics and received to reassurance. Anyways, so I then asked her how ... read more
I paid the $25 copay to be seen and when Dr. Bishop entered the room she immediately told me what she would be prescribing. Approx. 2 minutes in to her arrival, I asked for a refill on a medication that would help with one of my symptoms. She told me this is a busy clinic. I don't have time. You'll have to come back in. I paid $25 for 2 min of her time. I'll let you decode if that's the kind of care you want when you're sick and in pain.
Refused to look at my son's bloodshot eyes that we thought were pink eye and turned out to be allergies. She told us to take him to a covid clinic even though he had NO SYMPTOMS OF IT and we have been sheltering in place for 2 months. I hope Mercy retains her so she sees patients instead of trying to expose my baby to a pandemic.
Went to walk in at Mercy West with my daughter. I have always had great experiences at Mercy West walk-in. Our experience with Dr. Bishop was beyond horrible. She had no time to listen and acted as though we were wasting her time. My daughter is a self-harmer who already feels she is worthless and the way this "doctor" treated her was deplorable. I will never let this doctor treat anyone in my family again. Rude, so very rude. Unhelpful.
Tried giving me a inhaler twice when I’ve explained to her I can’t sleep at night then she gave a not logical answer
Went in with severe throat pain. She wasn't empathetic at all. She requested a swab to check for strep. The result was negative. She said they would send it on to be cultured and I wouldn't know for 2 days. In the meanwhile, she said it was viral and sent me with Lidocaine for pain that's not helpful. I'm 41 and have never had this type of throat pain unless it was strep. Going into the weekend and suffering. She didnt care for me as an individual and neither did her nurse. Sad!
Business response:
We regret that you had a negative experience with us, but are glad you brought this to our attention.
She tried to refuse to complete a simple (highlighted all 5 needed questions) for my family leave paperwork needed at work. I wouldn't accept that. Another time I was having an awful allergic reaction to something (still undetermined). She didn't even go over my symptoms, didn't inspect my symptoms, nothing. All she did was make me feel like I'm an insane person. To me, a doctor should at least act like you care. I don't care if I sound insane. I did get the test I requested in the end.
