2x visit for hair and a few times for products and I wanted to love it. Cant get over the way they made me feel ashamed about my hair. The owner of the salon cut my hair and midway through the cut she informs me that she has not been professionally trained … this would have been nice to know before my appointment when she talked up her skills … this isn’t to say people who are not professionally trained do not possess excellent skills …she may know how to cut curly long hair (that is forgiving of errors) but the skills needed for shorter curly hair that is not as forgiving requires knowledge. I recently visited Ellenoire in Dundas for the first time. I’m new to the curly world and have an unusual wave/curl pattern, so I honestly didn’t think I’d ever have great wavy hair. I was hesitant to go, but finally booked an appointment last week. The owner, Noëlle, was incredible. She spent well over two hours educating me on curly hair, products, and proper care – while giving me a treatment and trim. Got a hair cut 6 weeks ago and was very disappointed. The cut was uneven and probably the worst cut I’ve had since Covid. I thought It was just me. Give it some time but unfortunately time did not make it better. Because it’s curly it is harder to see the imperfections that I felt were there.
