Ellendale's- quantity over quality – This used to be my favorite place to eat in Nashville, but over the past year or two Ellendale's has steadily declined in class and service. My husband and I waited there on Valentine's day for about 45 minutes, and that was our wait time with a reservation. They are so concerned about QUANTITY, and have forgotten the importance of QUALITY at Ellendale's. Highly Enjoyable – This place is an old house that is now a restaurant. I enjoyed the atmosphere, it was very nice but not overdone. There was a gentleman singing, and another on the piano. That was nice but maybe a bit loud. We ordered the cheese plate, which was enjoyable. My boyfriend ordered a seafood bisque, which he said was excellent. A favorite for several years. Will NEVER be back! – I am very disappointed in the direction of Ellendales. It was our staple good restaurant in this area. Over the past few years we have seen changes that we have accepted though not enjoyed. We were SO pleasantly surprised to find a diamond in the rough that we visited over and over. Nashville's Hidden Secret!!! – As a travelling businessman, I find myself dining out quite frequently, and have had the full spectrum of dining experiences. Ellendale's Restaurant was a pleasant suprise. Recommended to me by the concierge at Opryland Hotel, the food and the service was amazing. Ruined my anniversary!!! Worst Restaurant experience in last 10 years!!!!!! – This restaurant had been our "special place" for Valentines and anniversary. Although the last 2 visits had not been up to standard because of waiting over 30 minutes for our RESERVATION, we went again for sentimental reasons. NEVER AGAIN!! best everything!!! – I'll tell you what, this is the best cooking and hospitality that I've experienced in my many travels. The restraunt is very pretty and the servers were fantastic. The bar was beautiful and had a long wine list. They had the best steak I've ever had!!!! The or'dervus were out of this world. It is worth every penny you spend!!

Good food & wine; so-so service – Mkae no mistake - the food here is good and reasonable priced. The wine list is long, with about half available by the glass. The ambiance is excellent, including live jazz/piano even on weeknights. The service, however, is not par with the food or ambiance. extremely accomodating! – We visited Ellendale's Saturday brunch to celebrate my husband's birthday. I knew my eating would be limited by avoiding a number of foods due to allergies. When I asked about ingredients in various items on the buffet, the chef came out to help me figure out what I could eat. Although there were several items I could have, he also offered to prepare a safe dish just for me, which was really delicious. It was a wonderful meal!
