My mother went to this hospital for a torn aorta and Dr.Nakahama saved her life and all of the ICU nurses were incredible I’m so grateful for this hospital and their staff.
I came in and was circulated through so many doctors and rooms it was so confusing, I did not even leave feeling better and got gaslit and ignored a majority of the time. Most of the staff were equally frustrated with how the communciation is set up. After waiting in the hall on a bed for hours, the doctors put me in an infectious room yet I had no infection, and some doctors would follow protocol (masking up, wearing scrubs) while most did not. The worst. 8hours of waiting in lobby. Came in with possible signs of a blood clot. The didn't have enough nurses. So you have to wait til morning shift. This place has gone to the dogs.
HORRIBLE 0/10 I DO NOT RECOMMEND, they do not help their patients they are very rude & nasty they discharged my cousin 4 days after she had bleeding on her brain & a spinal cord injury they do not care about us save your time & go to u of m
Before I start this I want to say the nurses that took care of my fiancé were amazing during a very scary and stressful time. This is more for their social services team: My fiancé was there due to some mental health issues that needed to be addressed. In the past we have had very good experiences with saint joes and their mental health facilities, however this time was HORRIBLE.
