When I arrived at the centre on Monday morning, I was foggy, defeated, disconnected, confused, distraught and exhausted is an understatement. From the minute I walked through the doors being greeted by their lovely volunteer, to the minute I was discharged and walked out those doors I experienced nothing short of exceptional love, support and compassion by every single member of the centre. If you are not at the point of pure desperation and commitment, I can see why people are not happy with the process and leave bad review... read more

We are 2 nights into our stay at Ellen Barron and it has already been lifechanging. We've gone from 45 minutely feeding overnight for 14 months, to NO FEEDS overnight last night and 3 easy 1 minute resettles. If you're going to come, I feel that you really need to submit yourself to the 25+ years of experience in the nursing staff and trust that your baby won't be harmed in the process. Otherwise you're not going to benefit from the experience. We got in on a last minute cancellation. Food as expected for hospital but lots o... read more

Unfortunately I don’t have many positive things to say. I have left the centre feeling even more stressed and confused about infant sleep. I know other services are provided at the centre but everyone i spoke to were there for sleep support, like me. I think the concept of the centre is great however the delivery is lacking. I’m not the only one who thought this. It’s sad that your experience is dependant on what nurse you get allocated. The night nurse allocated to me didn’t want to be there and was very unsupportive to the... read more

A lot of people on here are ragging on Ellen Barron because they don't like the techniques or what's applied here. Ya'll kinda need a reality check. Ellen Barron exists for a variety of reasons, but one of those reasons is assistance with sleep and settling. Unfortunately, it seems like some parents do way, way too much in helping their kids sleep. I know, because I was one of those parents. Sleep time came, and there was a never-ending parade of books and toys until our little one fell asleep. And when he woke up every hour... read more

I swear by this place. Honestly saved me. Such wonderful staff. I learnt so much. It helped give me the tools I needed to teach my son to sleep. If you are willing to listen and do the work. Then this method will help you. And no it is not the cry it out method. They do NOT do that here. The food is to be expected. This is a hospital not a resort. I would recommend brining some of your own food for you and bubs. It’s also very cold in the rooms so bring extra blanket and warm clothes.
