Ella's Of Calabash is good family restaurant Good food at a reasonable price, large portions of fried seafood. $15 for seafood combination with scallops, oysters, shrimp, fish & deviled crab. Family atmosphere.
New York Pizza Being originally from NY I never thought I would find a pizza place that could come close to NY pizza, well I was wrong, Elizabeths has the lcosest pizza to NY I have ever had since i left. Be careful when you ask for extra cheese becuase boy you will get it. This is a great place to go and has the best pizza in town.
Ella's is great Great variety of all seafood. Very fresh and great price. Usually a wait during the summer but well worth it! Hushpuppies are great and service is good!
Calabash Cooking at its Finest! I had the opportunity to sample Calabash cooking for the first time at Ella's. The restaurant was crowed in the summer but the meal was well worth the wait. The service was pleasant and the hush puppies were great.
Gallo's again Superb/Excellent! Today again, 8/15/07, we lunched and the food & service was great and consistant in every respect. great seafood this is the best seafood around town, i have been here several times and i have not 1 complaint , the restaurant is kept up to date and kept very clean. the staff is the friendlyest i have ever dealt with , they go out of there way to make you happy . the prices are very good for seafood, cheapest around.
plain Eat fried seafood here if you prefer plain breading, not for the guy who like flavor and quality. The service is good but there is no reason to wait for the meal, fast food quality at prices that are not warranted by the taste
Seafood sampler Tried a seafood sampler and was pleasantly surprised. As an avid oyster fan am always on the lookout for good seafood in northeast philadelphia. Hope to see more oyster-type dishes on their menus for dining at the restaurant as well as take-out.
Great Crabcakes Gallos was the 1st place I ever had excellent crabcakes at. Thats when it was a small place on Frankford Ave and we waited over an hour in line. It was worth the wait. Now everywhere I order crabcakes I compare them to Gallos. The prices are not too high. There was a time the prices were considered low. Not anymore. The atmosphere is ok.
