Great service from Daniel!! and very yummy chilaquiles
We visited Ella for brunch and had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. I called that morning to see if they could accommodate a party of 10 (including a toddler) about an hour and a half later. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating over the phone and assured me they could reserve a table for us. This is a small restaurant with medium size portions. The atmosphere is on point with a fantastic DJ. that's not over the top loud. Every plate of food was delicious to include desert and coffee. I (we) highly recommended Ella. I would recommend a reservation.
I honestly think this place is overrated. The food just wasn’t that good and lacked flavor. We ordered the steak and eggs, and even though the steak was supposed to be medium rare, it came out overcooked. It was served with a chile pasilla sauce that was so bitter it tasted like they just blended the chile with water and served it. Do the cooks try the food? The red chilaquiles are terrible, the pasilla sauce was so bitter it was impossible to eat, and very flavorless. We asked for over medium eggs and they brought burnt edges over hard and when addressed with the waitress she said in a very rude tone “those are over medium”. It’s a very cute place but the food definitely could be better
