I walked in on a whim just because I had just driven home from hiking in Jasper with an annoying ailment which I was hoping they could address. The receptionist gave me hope and urged me to see the nurse who turned out to be awesome. Turned out it was an urgent matter and decided to call the doctor and set up an appointment. Came back for my same day appointment and the doctor was great and sorted everything out for me. Definitely a great health care experience in Elkford.
Terribly rude people with no respect. They changed my appointments 3 times, one to the day before it was supposed to be but didnt tell me about it. I had to book for a month later for a subject that needed to be addressed quickly. The other two were for later the same day, ok, but still, nobody called to tell me. Doctors are great. If your doctor goes to fernie or sparwood, meet them there, do nor go to this clinic they are rude and useless Also, no emergency room at all. Some of the people here are great! Others will fax paperwork very slowly because they would just rather not. And at least one of the people who works in the lab will treat you like you’re the biggest inconvenience she’s ever had to deal with. She’s very snappy and rude. “I need an X-ray too — ” “NO!” “There’s paperwork — ” “Well I’ve got to go check that!” (comes back) “Let’s go!” Some of them act like it’s a super secret clubhouse and if you DARE walk in there, you’re interrupting a special meeting. Trying to get them to help in an emergency is like ripping teeth out. Kind of a problem when they're the only dang medical center in a 40 minute drive.
