My 95 year old mother recently passed in Fernie Hospital. I wanted to thank the medical staff (all of them) for their kind, compassionate, empathic and considerate treatment of mom. Their caring gave my mom a peaceful passing. Mom was fully deaf and even her hearing aides didn’t help much at the end, but the staff were kind and flexible about the noise that 6 adults and two children made trying to communicate with her. The emergency room physician literally told me I was wasting hospital resources by getting treatment at the emergency room, which was entirely empty at the time. I had to drive to the Cranbrook ER for treatment instead. Save yourself the trouble and just go to Cranbrook.
Been a few times lol, they got me referred to specialist and fixed up asap. Staff seemed nice and accommodate
