I received BKA in December '22 because of extensive injury to my ankle and lower leg that required 2 surgeries and most likely many additional one. All during this during this time I would essentially be bedridden/non-weight bearing. I instead elected to undgo amputation because I wanted the excruciating pain to stop and I wanted closure so I could just get on with my life.
