Dr. Mayer is incredibly understanding, empathetic, and open-minded. He helped me be kinder to myself and more confident in exploring a wide range of experiences in a healthy way. His warm but direct approach made it easy to open up, and his guidance truly changed how I see myself and my relationships. I’m really grateful for the support and perspective he provided, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a thoughtful and compassionate therapist.

Unprofessional communication- Mr. Mayer mislead me for an entire week of communication that he was accepting new clients. In his first email he told me that he is accepting new patients, and we were communicating for a few days, when suddenly he changed his mind, and told me that he does not accept new clients. Working with Dr. Mayer led qualitatively to significant improvements in my interpersonal relationships, both at home and at work. Where before there was a lot of anxiety about my thoughts and behaviors, there is now understanding and cognition. I honestly can't imagine having gone through recent events in my life without his sessions. Have been a weekly patient for a few years and will continue to do so. Always flexible with appointments and reasonable rates, given the efficacy.

I just happened to be looking at health grades for a future doctor, and I decided to check for Doctors I have seen in the past. I was surprised that anyone would leave a review of a therapist, and only see one posted here. The Dr. Mayer I knew would not reduce a patient to a statistic. He is more personal,. a great listener, and very insightful. I could not picturing him encouraging anyone to stay in an abusive relationship. I have found him to be empowering enabling me to make healthy decisions

I was trying to distance myself from an abusive friend. Mayer saw the friend on the street and found him attractive, so instead of helping me separate, Mayer convinced me that I was in love with the friend, resulting in an extended dysfunctional relationship. When I announced that I was quitting Mayer's practice, he used improper client-retention techniques including telling me I had a 25% chance of survival.Mayer wasted a lot more than my time and money.
