If I could give Elgin Pool less than a 1 star - I would! We hired them last fall to replace an inground pool liner this spring. Let’s just say the entire experience has been beyond frustrating and disheartening and to say disappointing doesn’t describe our feelings and experience with them!! The 1st replacement liner went in May 2025. Right away we started losing water. They tried for over a month to tell us it was our equipment etc. we knew it wasn’t and did every test imaginable! Based on personal knowledge of recent treatment of a customer by the owner of this business there is no way I would ever recommend him! A pool he installed last summer fell over in a windstorm early April 2025 probably due to poor installation! He refuses to honour or give warranty service! He does not stand behind his work! He does have all kinds of excuses to avoid taking responsibility!
I would rate 0 stars if possible. My husband had a pool closing booked for 2 weeks for a specific day. We were told that someone would be at our home to close our pool between 9am and 5pm. My husband waited around all day until he had to leave for work and I left work early, unpaid, to come home and wait for the remaining time only to have NO ONE SHOW UP and no call to explain why.
The most awful service I’ve probably encountered in the last 12 months. Elgin pool was booked two months in advance to help open up our pool. The day came and went, no one showed up. My husband talked to someone on the phone the day off and said someone would come by. No one came. Called again, said they gave everyone the weekend off for the long weekend (totally understandable, but a notice via text or email would have been appreciated). Wouldn’t recommend as they have poor customer service.
