I accidentally missed a 3 month follow up appointment (life was busy in Nov) but there was no follow-up from the office. About two weeks later, I realized I was out of my medication and my symptoms had already begun to worsen. Although the clinic rescheduled my appointment when I called. I was not provided a short-term refill to help bridge the gap, despite reaching out multiple times to explain how unwell I was feeling. I was instead referred to a crisis help line. I love my therapist but unfortunately wish she worked somewhere else :( They charged my account $330+ within two days without any form of communication or warning. After processing my insurance WRONG. When asked for a phone call from the owner to provide me with clarification on the matter I only received a few text messages with vague explanation on the matter. I only made a few appointments here, and then decided it was best for my mental health to find somewhere else. A psychiatrist isn’t supposed to deter you from asking for help. I was going for medication management, and the way they refused to help me was ridiculous. I got taken off of one of my medications with no explanation, and had another one of my medication doses get cut in half…for no reason. It wasn’t even brought to my attention until I realized it.
