Awful tailor prices. Go across the street – I took a velvet jacket to this establishment to have it taken in a little bit. I was in a rush and she promised to have it done in time for my event. I came back 3 days later to get my Jacket and was shocked that she was charging me $50! for about 20 minutes worth of work. Upset, I paid it and swore not to come back. I had another Jacket that needed a similar job and went literally across the street to "Rite-Way Dry cleaners" where I received much better service at half of the cost... read more

great alterations – I had a great experience here. I had a bridesmaid dress that needed substantial alterations (taking in and shortening the bodice, as well as hemming), and the first place i took it to, a fancy bridal shop in Harvard Square,did a terrible job and charged me a fortune. I took it to Elegant Tailor on the recommendation of a friend, and they did a great job, quickly, and charged half as much as the other place. I highly recommend their tailoring service.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! – This is the worst dry cleaners I have ever been to. I brought a shirt and a pair of pants to them with normal stains that any cleaner could have gotten out and both were given back to me in the same condition, just pressed. When I asked what happened they said they would try again at no charge (but still charged me for the original cleaning). When I went back to pick them up they had holes in them!!! High quality work on time. – I brought my wedding dress here to be hemmed. I was very nervous because the fabric is so delicate. The bottom of the dress was badly damaged - thus the hemming required. The quality of the work was beautiful, and it was complete on time. I had another piece (also very delicate silk fabric) dry-cleaned. This piece had lots of grease-like dirt along the bottom, and it all came out beautifully. Additionaly, this shop is along a section of Mass Ave where it is possible to find parking.
