If you plan on having the repair department look at anything, please be sure to ask a few people who work there if they actually will look at your part. Their website said they look at encoders, so I contacted them and spoke with Martina Alexander who checked my model number and said they would be glad to take a look at it. She was even kind enough to send me all of the information I needed to include with it when I dropped it off.
