After looking a few other rental properties in Medicine Hat, I saw a Broadstreet property and the difference was night and day which prompted me to initiate an immediate rental agreement with Broadstreet. I was a tenant of Horizon View for 2 and a half years. I broke my lease early and paid the early lease break fee. I maintained my apartment while I resided there and I also ensured that it was clean upon my departure. I expected to receive the security deposit back in full. However, the site manager, Dammy, claimed that they had to deduct $90 from my security deposit for "cleaning fees". Just met the maintenance man Noel Very efficient and very friendly
Very nice apartments and well kept up, however for the last 3 years they raise rent by 300 dollars annually every year. Only 200 increase if you sign a lease. When you speak to the office (if you can get access, usually closed) you can’t speak to the person that makes the decisions about lease and negotiating the rent increases. Cheryl Carter apparently makes the decisions but I emailed four times with no response. I then get an email saying sign or you will be evicted. My experience with Broadstreet has been nothing short of disturbing. I would strongly caution anyone against renting from this company. Since moving in, I’ve witnessed what I believe to be serious mismanagement, retaliation, and a total lack of concern for tenant well-being. Speaking up about valid safety or accessibility issues has resulted in silence—or worse, false allegations designed to intimidate. Here’s a revised review for Livingston Heights: --- Livingston Heights is, without a doubt, one of the worst places to live. My air conditioning has been broken for over a month, and the management has no timeline for when it will be fixed. To make matters worse, my washer has been out of commission for three weeks, and my laundry is piling up. The maintenance staff seems uninformed and unresponsive, leaving residents feeling frustrated and neglected. I do not recommend living here.
I moved in last month and am extremely happy this is the choice I made. Tessa in the rental office was amazing, she was very helpful and patient with my million and one questions and my multiple visits to the site. She also helped with obtaining information on a couple of things that I didn’t think of myself. Every step of the way she was quick to get answers, to reply to phone calls and emails.
