I bought a 1969 Camaro direct from the owner of EG Auctions in Feb 2021 via FB Marketplace. Car was advertised as having 500hp. Car later dyno'ed at 280hp at rear tires (thus only around 350hp at crank). Improperly plumbed external oil filter had caused the vehicle have no oil pressure. We bought a 1973 Plymouth Duster 340 from EG Auctions in January of 2021. The description on the vehicle read, "no known mechanical problems." Well this turned out to be a lie, and Todd (the seller) knew it. Very misleading, if you want proof of engine work/dyno, you will never get a honest answer

If you have the cash and want a quality car look elsewhere and avoid some VERY mediocre cars and high buyers fees at these auctions. They always have a couple quality high end cars and the rest are junk. Really look at these cars closely especially underneath and you will see what I mean. Better yet find a private seller that has a quality example of the car you want and you will be miles ahead. As always perform your own due diligence on any car you buy.
