After 25yrs of waiting for a partial knee replacement finally had this done on Friday 13th June (Yep I know not really a good day to go for it). On the day apt was moved forward due to cancellation - happy days. Have to say my anxiety levels were sky high at this point😬. This is a really exceptional unit. Everything from the initial consultation, through to the communications, the procedure and aftercare are first class. The staff are amazing and the facilities excellent. I have just had my second hip replaced after the first one was done last year, and both experiences were the same. I feel very fortunate that we have this in our area; it would be great if it was available everywhere.
Absolutely amazing care and experience from start to finish for my planned total hip replacement. The staff were amazing, especially given they had a new computer system to deal with. Operation with Marwan Al-Zabari and Professor Kader - Replacement Right Knee in March 2025. The department and the recovery team were very polite and understanding of my situation. In all my meetings with Marwan he explained the procedure in great detail at each stage and everything went as expected. We are very fortunate to have this facility in Epsom. I would have no hesitation to recommend a referral to them.
High praise to all the teams at SWLEOC for my care yesterday. Everyone was professional and I felt so looked after. Mr Little (surgeon) and the anaesthetist explained everything throughly and listened to my questions. Nurse Jayson in recovery was great. He made me laugh as well as ensuring my recovery was well monitored. Thank you all.
