Just completed an incredible trip towing from the Central Coast NSW all the way to Albany WA, driving across the Nullarbor in some pretty strong and gusty winds. I honestly can’t recommend the Elecbrake sway control highly enough. It has genuinely saved me on multiple occasions while towing in strong, unpredictable winds travelling up the coast from NSW into Queensland. Anyone who’s done that run knows how brutal the crosswinds can be, especially when passing trucks or hitting exposed coastal sections. I purchased the controller from BCF, and the box advertised a “10-minute install.” However, once I got home and opened the box, I realised it didn’t include the necessary cable—you have to buy that separately. There should be a clear note next to the “10-minute install” claim stating that a separate cable is required. I returned to BCF to buy the cable, installed the unit, and it worked for about 30 minutes before all the trailer lights went out and the unit stopped functioning completely. Good old fashioned Aussie customer service! I was having issues with the Bluetooth (brakes still operated perfectly - it just wasn’t showing in the app) outside of the warranty period and Elecbrakes offered to test the unit for free. When they found the fault, they replaced the unit free of charge and express posted it back to me. Highly recommend this company to anyone!
