June 2024 my father-in-law was admitted to the rehab floor with the hopes he could return to his assisted living apartment. Unfortunately that was not to be and he needed long term placement. We were lucky that he could stay at Elderwood and he was moved to the 2nd floor. Both floors gave him exceptional care. Even short staffed he was treated well and his needs were met. 78 yr old mother had major surgery. on 1st floor for rehab. mother is very cognitive and motivated to get well. the nurses were very nice. rooms were small but ok. alot better than some other nursing homes in the syracuse area. i believe they were understaffed but the staff that was there were hard workers. my mother appreciated the different social engagements that were done in the cafeteria area. she comes from senior apartment in oneida county and appreciated the social areas once she was feeling well enough to get out of... read more

I here just for rehab. It is the best place ever. Its very clean,the food is excellent and the people are so wonderful. They are very helpful and they go out of there way to accommodate your every need. I can't say enough about this facility. They are a little short on staff help. But the ones they have bust there buts to make up for it

Filthy, dark gray carpets are BROWN. Employees are kind + wonderful, but grossly UNDERSTAFFED with student nurses. The bathrooms, walls and equipment are either covered with excrement and/or rusted. I'm afraid to touch it/clean it. It's just disgraceful. I can't believe this facility is inspected by ANYONE, such as Onondaga County or the State of NY. How is this allowed to exist? I've been here for THREE LONG DAYS. Many rooms are post in this rehab ward as 'Precautions Required' with Big Red Stop signs. I'm trying to regain ... read more

I worked here for a very short stent back in 2018 while in nursing school. I didn't like the class setup nor the way some CNAs were. I was placed in a class with 5 girls I had absolutely nothing in common with (why do this?) I reported a CNA, and nothing was done about it. It's sad that nursing homes don't discipline CNAs that honestly need to be fired. The nursing home wouldn't be bad if not from that.
