2/3/26 - NEVER SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. If I could give this facility zero stars, I would. The administrator is awful! The facility has gone downhill ever since she was hired. Staff have also told me she is ripping the place off. How - no clue. Either way, it shows! This specific location is understaffed daily and especially on weekends. I"m sorry so many have had bad experiences, but ours has been great. Our Mom entered in September, and I am always amazed at how wonderful, caring, and friendly all the staff are. We have come to consider them more like family than anything else. They know and engage with our Mom, and take care of anything we ask of them. Someone from our family is there daily, and that might be making the difference. If you just leave your family member there, and never visit to check on them, it's easier for issues to come up. NEVER I repeat NEVER send any relatives or anyone you take care of here. A resident I take care of was sent here for rehab before she returned home.when I went to pick her up it was insane what I saw. The staff were not only disrespectful but refused to do their job even after my resident said she was making a bowel movement in her brief they refused to change it. A warning to once again never send anyone you love to Elderwood they do not give a crap about anyone just collecting a paycheck.
Absolutely horrible care. Had multiple different incidents. An aid said my grandma was a pain for hitting her button too much so she wheeled her out to the front room and left her to sit there all day. Another time an aid brought my grandma to the bathroom, left her there and never came back and she ended up falling, then claimed he never took her in the first place. I am appalled that this is how they treat the elderly.
