I saw dr john in 2021 as a scared 19 year old being screened for ovarian cysts. she was very rough with my examintation, to the point that i bucked off the exam table in PAIN. she proceeds to pull her hand out and tell me shortly it was 'probably cancer', ordered a CT scan, and left me to get dressed. I don’t typically leave reviews but I needed to share this. I had a very disappointing experience with Dr.Elcy John. I have been diagnosed with PCOS by multiple doctors in the past, yet Dr. John dismissed my diagnosis solely because I am not overweight and do not have facial hair—despite the fact that PCOS presents differently in many patients. I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Elcy John and her team. I had gone to a different gynecologist back in September because I was experiencing severe bleeding and passing large clots and I was told it was “just a blood clot” from the ultrasound. When I came to Dr. John, she actually listened and took my concerns seriously.
