Elam has been around for a long time. They usually do a good job. They have been running dump trucks for a job on Independence Pass. One of the trucks has been blowing pitch black smoke for at least 2 days. I saw it yesterday and again today. I could not believe that they would run such a gross polluter. I hope the State specifies clean running trucks on all the future jobs. The Pass has Wilderness Areas on both sides and is in general a healthy ecosystem - it does not need this.
