We made a last minute lunch reservation and were treated so well! Definitely saving this as a place to bring other guests I have visiting Alexandria. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive, and the food had a wholesome nourishing quality that we all really enjoyed. We also loved the play on Alexandrian cuisine from the Mediterranean being brought to Alexandria VA. The drinks and dessert were exceptional as well.

I wanted to like this place since they have several vegetarian options, but unfortunately it just wasn't a great experience and too expensive for what we got. The staff was overall good and the apricot cocktail, but noting individual issues below that can be improved upon. - water served was lukewarm - halloumi appetizer had potential but was not served hot and the tahini sauce made it soggy and detracted from the other flavors - cauliflower steak was wet and boiled, not grilled or seared. Went to dinner here last night and the food was delicious. The owner came and introduced himself to us and some history of the restaurant as well as the menu items and wine pairings. The food and drinks were fantastic! The atmosphere was very nice and will definitely be coming back!
