It’s an absolutely gorgeous restaurant and the staff was top notch! Can’t say enough good things about the staff. Really can’t. Excellent service!! BUT I very clearly told our waitress I had a food allergy to all peppers. I chose a meal and asked if it had any peppers in it. I was told no. The meal came and the sauce and the side were both spicy in taste. I have no proof that there was peppers in it BUT do u then flavor a food to have a similar taste to something someone is allergic too??? Of course not. U adjust your flavor... read more

We made a last minute lunch reservation and were treated so well! Definitely saving this as a place to bring other guests I have visiting Alexandria. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive, and the food had a wholesome nourishing quality that we all really enjoyed. We also loved the play on Alexandrian cuisine from the Mediterranean being brought to Alexandria VA. The drinks and dessert were exceptional as well.

I wanted to like this place since they have several vegetarian options, but unfortunately it just wasn't a great experience and too expensive for what we got. The staff was overall good and the apricot cocktail, but noting individual issues below that can be improved upon. - water served was lukewarm - halloumi appetizer had potential but was not served hot and the tahini sauce made it soggy and detracted from the other flavors - cauliflower steak was wet and boiled, not grilled or seared.
