In caring for patients, I think it is very important to listen carefully to their description of their symptoms and ask appropriate questions to further define what is bothering the patient. Also, patient education is a regular part of my interaction with patients as it is important that they understand what their diagnosis is and why it is important to follow the treatment plan. All patients deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

Just got back from seeing Elaine Turner, M.D. Wish I read the reviews first, but the appointment was just made by my primary yesterday, so no time. Walked in and was not greeted. Stood there and was finally asked if I needed a shot. This was asked by someone behind the counter who didn't even look up. I said no and I had an appointment with the Dr. After 30 seconds of silence, she asked for my info. Never said hello, how are you, good morning.... nothing. She sat me down with a pile of paper work. Got called back and asked a... read more
Agreed with above reviews that she comes off rude (read: short with you to prioritize time to sicker patients) and rushes sometimes, however she is spectacularly knowledgeable and has helped me beyond what any other ever has. I'd rather have a rude doc who knows what she's doing than a nice one who does nothing. Advocate for yourself before taking it out in a review. Patients need reviews too, and one that doesnt speak up sufficiently doesnt help their own diagnosis.
Horrible! She is unprofessional and very rude. I will not be returning, and have cancelled my follow up. It's time for her to retire.
If I could leave a zero star rating, I would. I took my son in for an allergy test. After briefly meeting with Dr. Elaine Turner, she immediately left the room and began talking about me, very loudly to the staff of nurses. Only after realizing how loud she was did the nurse tell her to speak quietly... At which time she began to whisper. How incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. She also spoke in a very demeaning and condescending manner. If her poor professionalism and behavior represents the behavior of the other s... read more
Dr. Turner used several racial micro- aggressions during our session in regards to my knowledge of allergies, medical testing already preformed, my insurance carrier and type, etc. In addition to talking over me while explaining prior medical testing and diagnoses relevant to current situation and the validity of my statement in regards to severe allergens and symptoms from exposure to allergens. Did not explain why secondary testing was medically necessary with (+) in office reaction.
Dr. Turner kept trying to walk out before I was done asking my few questions. I had a major allergic reaction last weekend and she said I may never know what caused it and didn't seem to be paying attention to my concerns. Then a staff member said they didn't know I had new insurance even after I put it on the sign in form and they scanned my new card. They also put the wrong code on my lab Corp form so I had to contact them again.and wait for them to fax a new one. Do not recommend!
excellent physician-very knowledgeable; very personable and caring about patient's overall health; as a patient of +15 years, I would highly recommend Dr. Turner
