Terrible !! – I should have listened to my wife and gone to our usual spot in Bay Ridge , Sushi Hana (if you like Sushi go there. Very good) We had just finished shopping at Target a few blocks away and were feeling hungry. We had been here several years ago and while it wasnt the best then , it was terrible this time. GREAT!!!!!!!!! – I went with my daughter and fiance and the food was wonderfully great. The service was good, the music was to dance for. I'm taking her back on her graduation to celebrate,can't wait.
48 THUMBS UP !!!! – I had to put together a Sweet 16 Dinner in a short amount of time with a total of 48 guests and a set budget. Jerry, the manager, not only worked with me to create a fabulous menu that had skirt steak, grilled fish and lemon chicken that met my goal but he was present on the day of the event to make sure everything went as smooth as possible. Don't believe the hype. – Mediocre food and poor service - and all for $75.00 I'm sure there are better restaurants in the area. I suggest going elsewhere. They brought the salads with the entrees and then acted surprised that we wanted the salads first. The salads were worse than a diner, the A La Vodka sauce was flavorless and the grilled fish entree was nothing more than a whole fish put on the grill. No spice. No flavor. No work. And for $22? Good food I have lived in the area all my life and El Viejo Yayo is an institution. I believe it has changed owners at least once but has always seemed to stay pretty good over the years. Would stay with pork and steak dishes since that is what they have been know for over the years.
ok spanish food This restaurant is ok, has your typical spanish food but I got to say not the best. Its a quick fix to your desire for rice and beans but as a hispanic wouldnt say the best spanish flavor available.
good food – I ordered the oxtail stew and it was really good. fried stuffs are good, too. a good place to have a taste of something different.
BEST SPANISH FOOD IN BROOKLYN – My family and I have been to El Viejo Yayo over the years at least a dozen times. As newly weds (before their expansion) and as an entire family(after the expansion).
