History Established in 2004. El Paraiso was opened by Jose and Carmen Cruz, a Salvadorian couple who came to the country 40 years ago. They owned many restaurants across the country, but eventually decided to settle in the Cornelius area where they opened El Paraiso. After almost 15 years running the restaurant, they decided it was time to retire and entrusted the restaurant to myself, a close friend and employee to the Cruz family. Wonderful flavors and excellent service. I had the bistec en salsa, such rich flavors. Also had the chimichangas with mole, also good and very flavorful. Try the chimichanga cheesecake, you will be delighted
Food was horrible. Refried beans were gross and they put pork in with my chicken I know what I ordered did not contain pork so I was pleasantly surprised. REPLY: NO I did NOT order rroz con Pollo with extra chorizo. i eat spanish food all the time so for you to reply stating We are always happy to explain our traditional latin dishes for those who are less familiar was very unnecessary what i ordered. what i ordered should have only contained chicken so again this was your mistake.
Always a good experience. I've brought classes here on field trips and I've been with my family. The people are always so kind and helpful and the food is beyond amazing. Keep up the great work!
This place gets worse everytime me and my coworkers visit. We keep trying to give it another chance because it use to be our favorite spot to have lunch. Managment changed and now the prices are higher...plates smaller...and the food is not as good. I really wish they would get it together since it's less than 5 mins away from my job. If negative stars were a option that would be my choice for this restaurant.
