Very disappointing RV rental experience and poor customer service. We rented a Class C Large RV through Tioga Tours for a 19-day family trip in August 2025. We were instructed to arrive at 11:00 AM, but due to poor organization and apparent understaffing, our RV was not ready until 4:30 PM. We rented a medium class C RV in Seattle and drove it down the coast to San Francisco. FANTASTIC family trip. Pickup was great, drop off was even better. Employees were really helpful and kind. Word of advice, especially for first-timers, GET THE VIP INSURANCE. We had a tree take off the awning in Astoria at the Safeway parking lot and it was completely covered by the VIP! Great experience. Went to the gorge for a concert and everything was perfect having an RV. Great customer service and location.
Gave me a defective vehicle in which the toilet, sinks, and microwave were inoperable for the duration of our rental. The roadside assistance was of completely no use or help. They offered us 10% refund a compensation. The managers Sandra and Dirk had absolutely no empathy or concern with their lack of customer service. They were cold and unconcerned.
We had very little trouble with the RV itself except for a broken door stay and weak drawer opening stops which meant drawers opening annoyingly on cornering along minor roads. We did have a lot of trouble the On Road Care system used El Monte.
