Super good food, waiting impatiently for the new opening in Brook city base
The machito was not traditional like in Tamaulipas or nuevo leon
We went last night with a large party, sat outside but not at all what we expected. The service was horrible. Had to ask several times for things that we were missing. Waiter couldn't answer things about foods on the menu. Food was mediocre at best. The machitos were dry and inedible. Cabrito was overcooked. Had relatives from Canada and they were sorely disappointed since they had seen the restaurant on television and asked to go there specifically. This is a must stop! Every time I am in San Antonio I stop in El Machito. The food is amazing; truly a unique flavor that you can’t find anywhere else! The manager Francisco shared with us about some other Chef Johnny restaurants in the area and we can’t wait to try!
