Typical Tex Mex I only go for Enchilado Wednesdays. It's cheap, filling, and good. However this restaurant doesn't offer anything close to true mexican food. it's just tex mex and I would suggest it for someone who just moved here and never had mexican food but wants something mild. If not for enchilada wednesdays, i would never spend so much money for tex mex.
A Family Favorite The El Chico Mexican Restaurant on North Collins has always been a favorite for our family. It's clean, comfortable and has a nice atmosphere. The food is good - and the service is excellent. Several of the waitpersons have been there for many years and acknowledge their frequent customers by remembering their favorite dishes and drinks.

The Southwestern decor features bright colored walls and thick terracotta-tiled floors. Classic El Chico combinations, around since the company started in 1940, heap tamales, cheese enchiladas and refried beans on one plate. Tex-Mex items represent tastes for fajitas, soft tacos and enchiladas verde.
