Rustic though well maintained large property. Wonderful for children (we have twin 8 year olds). Their friend stayed in loft cabin right next door so they had a wonderful time. Office was great getting our friends next to us once we discovered how large the property is (our first visit). This one is definitely more on the camping side on the glamping scale. We love this place. Our family gathers here every summer and enjoys being together. We stay in the cabins at the back of the property. They have not been updated and could use some repair but they are clean and relaxing. Fans in each unit would be a welcome addition in the summer.
This is a hard one. It’s such a great destination with so many great offerings - however, the price for what you get is staggering in a bad way. We paid $450-$500 a night for a cabin that was 30+ years old, had zero amenities (eg not one fork or cup or any thing of any kind), a rusty old bbq (worked great as a fire pit for smores but you wouldn’t cook on it). I didn't stay there. But it was a cool place to watch an outdoor show. It has shaded areas under trees, plenty of picnic tables. It also has a gift shop and a restaurant. It does look like it has a lot of nice small cabins as well. I would say its a good place to camp with a family near Santa Barbara.
