I had my second excellent experience with E&J last week when I had a fridge issue. The owner, Alan, came by to see what was what and we discussed all of the options for resolution. He was the kind of nice and friendly that really makes me miss my midwestern roots. He really went out of his way to make me feel helped and comfortable. This was a very pleasurable business experience from the get-go. The Dispatcher with A & J was polite and very helpful to this first-time customer. Santiago (the Technician) called ahead of his arrival to my residence. The issue with my ancient GE refrigerator/freezer was diagnosed almost immediately and service was restored lickety-split. A (needed) additional part was ordered and within 2 days the item was accessed and project completed. Top-notch! Me happy!
Techs were on time and friendly. Answered all questions and fixed the problem with my refrigerator quickly.
Caveat emptor ( Beware ) ! They have no hourly rate instead they quote a price which reflects some guidelines they go by for that job. Their guy was here for 20 minutes and paid himself $243 for labor and also charged $198 for a part. I would never recommend these people to anyone I know.So here is the follow up: 6 mos later the same part went out again. Labor $200 and replaced part free. 2 mos later, same part went out again. This time no warranty at all. Fed up. Junked it all.
Our service man was Nick came into our home, Look at our freezer told us it would cost us $500 and that it was a 50-50 chance that it would Work. This disappointment was that he charged us $135 for less than five minutes To tell us that it was partially unrepairable. I would’ve been happy to pay $25 bucks to hear that but no $135 is a bit too steep for me.
