I was brought into the hospital by my husband for being high risk with my other pregnancies, or son is different but the actions remain the same from a developed pattern we had to follow with our others. I had informed her of this, and had also informed her that due to lack of insurance I wasn't able to be really be seen this pregnancy at all. I was IMMEDIATELY scolded like a child. Personally, she seems very kind but professionally I was disappointed. The wait time was over 30 minutes and then barely spoke with me about my pregnancy and talked mostly about her personal life and things unrelated to my appointment. I feel like the appointment was a waste of time.
I started care with Dr Golden upon discovering that I was pregnant. She was attentive, easy to talk to, and made us feel comfortable on our first visit. I suffered a miscarriage while on vacation a few weeks later and Dr Golden reached out and got to me in same day to see me when I was back in town. She was extremely compassionate about the situation, helped me understand what was going on, timely with followups, and put me at ease during a tremendously painful time.
Dr Golden was very nice to me very friendly and had a nice talk. She made me feel very comfortable because she knew I was nervous. I really like her.
The doctor scheduled D&C twice without asking my preference. My HCG was still high. I thought there is still hope. She said there is no hope. I asked if I can take pills. She said she will not give prescription. I asked if I can wait for one more week to do the surgery. She said she can not find any spot for me. Worst experience ever.
As a long-time patient, I have found Dr. Golden to be likeable and friendly. Great to talk with, but not about your medical concern. The wait time is always horrible at 1 hour. Unfortunately, after many years, I will not be coming back.
Dr Golden is wonderful but I would never recommend her to anyone. 95% of the staff is incredibly rude and just going through their "to do" checklist. The wait time to see the doctor is horrible. I get that things come up and doctors get behind but after months of appointments with her, I never saw her until at least 30 mins past my appt time, and the averable wait was closer to an hour. It's really frustrating to have to wait that long every single time you have an appointment.
Did not address a single one of the issues that I had mentioned as concerns.
