After prepaying my 6-month lease at Springtree Apartments, I had a credit of $1,014.10 plus a $150 deposit owed back to me. In July, management manually changed my rent amount from $1,102 (which cleared my bank on June 4th) to $1,040, suddenly showing a $25.90 balance. I was told the balance would “fall off” after move-out, but it kept increasing. Avoid any property managed by 18CG. Their complete lack of accountability and communication is astonishing. After I moved out of Windbury Apartments on June 14, I was billed $186 in unjustified charges. I emailed, called, and followed up multiple times—no response. Windbury blamed 18CG, and 18CG never responded to anything. Only after I filed formal complaints with the Texas Attorney General and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau did the charge quietly drop to $9—no apology, no explanation, just silence.
