It's better than Barnes Fieldhouse, but needs improvement. The staff rated separately get 5 stars, they are friendly, attentive, and work hard to keep the busy gym as clean as possible. For the size of Ft. Huachuca's TRADOC population and permanent party, the facilities are very overcrowded. The equipment has mostly not changed in 20 years. The facility runs off a swamp cooler system, which is only sufficient if the crowd is very light on a weekend evening. When crowds are typical, it gets hot and smelly.
Clean facilities, array of machines, free weights, small functional fitness room, and power lifting room. Military ID required.
Equipment is constantly broken and out of order, over the top hot and stuffy. Thermometer on the wall pushing 85 with 20 people pumping out making it hotter by the second-gross! Not a comfortable environment to workout in but I guess you get what you pay for.
