Since the sunny, colorful, carefree days of the early 1970s, eegee's has been serving handcrafted sub sandwiches and its now-famous frozen fruit drink, the "eegee," in Southern Arizona. In September 1971, the founders pooled their resources to purchase a used vending truck and began serving a frozen lemon drink at high schools, sporting events, and concerts in town. Holy crap on a cracker!!! A few years back I had a good BLT at eegee's, last year I tried to buy another one, price was double so I passed, so my recent craving made me try again, major error, at $18.00 you'd figure a great BLT, right. Wrong, not a single slice of bacon on my sandwich, instead they use bacon bits, and so burnt it was like eating a small campfire, worst sandwich I ever tried in my life, and I'm old.
